Gardening World Cup 2010 Nagasaki October 9 (Sat) to October 17 (Sun), 2010

"Gardening for Peace"
In answer to this call, top gardeners from around the world are assembling in Nagasaki. Medalists from flower show events from every nation including the world’s most prestigious show, the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in the United Kingdom, will wager the honor and reputation of their countries when competing to be the supreme authority in gardening technique in this festival of greenery.

A variety of gardening-related events will be held in conjunction with the Gardening World Cup 2010, including talks by exhibiting gardeners, concerts for enjoying gardens with all five senses and workshops to experience the fun of gardening.

Hours 9 am to 6 pm (Admission until 30 minutes before closing)
Price October 9-11 - Adults: 3,000 yen, children: 1,700 yen
October 12-17 - Adults: 2,000 yen, children: 1,200 yen
October 18-31 - Adults: 1,200 yen, children: 1,000 yen
* Adults - junior high school age and older, children – 4 years of age through elementary school
* Does not include the entrance fee to Huis Ten Bosch
* Art piece lectures and garden concerts by the participating gardeners will continue until October 11, with sales of flowers and gardening supplies extending until October 17.

This summer, with the full cooperation of Fuji Television, Museumstad will be re-opening as horror-themed Thriller Fantasy Museum, one of the largest of its type in the world. Two walk-though horror amusements full of fightening and delightful creatures await you, along with a horror restaurant(complete with horror munu), and a special light-and-sound show in the evening.

It was Holland in the nineteenth century. Two music box makers argued over which of two music boxes produced a more beautiful sound. The spirits of those music box makers have roamed the earth ever since, seeking a resolution to their argument. The Carillon Museum
The time is medieval Holland. The carillon player was in love with the princess. But the two were not wed and met a tragic ending. Though centuries have passed, the care that the two shared for each other continues on to the current day. Visitors must pass a number of tests for the couple, heading to the church where the wedding was to have been held.
The way is filled with much dread, but much laughter, too. A horror attraction with a completely new approach, all wrapped up in mystery.

MJ World
Crystal Dream, that attraction that Michael Jackson loved so dearly, has undergone a grand transformation. Mementos to Michael will be on exhibit and never before displayed images will be shown.

The Huis Ten Bosch Beer Fest is like Germany’s Oktoberfest, but arranged in Huis Ten Bosch style. We have brought together 300 kinds of beer from 30 countries around the globe for this event. The selection includes award-winning beers, fruity flavored beers and various other unique and unusual crafted beers. Enjoy them here, or take them home as gifts!

St. Vincent Festival

St. Vincent Festival
A popular event where you can taste up to 100 different wines when you purchase a tastevin (proof of participation). In this year’s event, a Child’s Tastevin will be added so that those who cannot drink alcohol can enjoy drinking marvelous juices instead. Another new feature this year will be the Premium Tastevin, which comes with a precious wine goblet specially selected for oenophiles.
