Great Tulip Festival March. 17 (Sat) – April 8 (Fri),2012

The Kingdom of the Flowers of the 20th anniversary opens with the Great Tulip Festival. Planted in the ground, the tulips welcome visitors with full of natural energy.

The three major spot for viewing tulips

1. Island of Windmills and Flowers

The tulip-covering area of Kinderdijk this year is 1.5 times bigger than last year. The tulip island floats on the canal having a great volume of beautiful colors.
2. Flower Palace

Gardens colored with a variety of colorful tulips cover the palace.
3. Tulip Square

The Binnenstad area, the center of the Kingdom of the Flower, is also covered with tulips this year. You can count on this!

Rare tulip corner: Palace Huis Ten Bosch has rare kinds of tulips including those in unique shapes or colors. It also has tulips that are the first appearance in Japan. (scheduled)

Flower Auction (scheduled): This year is to hold a flower auction.

Flower Parade: The Flower Parade takes place twice a day (afternoon and evening).
The afternoon parade is cheered by energetic parade staff for the guests while the evening one has a parade car decorated with magical illuminations.

St. Vincent Festival in 2012: The annual St Vincent Festival usually held in autumn is to be held in spring in 2012.
Not only tasting of 50 wines but the 20th anniversary original wines are ready to attract the visitors. Why don’t you enjoy yourself with wines surrounded with beautiful flowers.

Entertainment

Suisei Musical: Suisei Musical, a theatrical group performed a number of shows and parades at Huis Ten Bosch since spring 2010, comes back this spring. The nation’s best performers provide viewers with their powerful shows.

The Night Concert: Popular Hotel Europe Concert
The concert is to be held again in spring this year. Musicians entertain you with their professional performance.

Hotel Europe is renewed for the Great Tulip Festival.

The Japan’s highest and longest Adventure Park is now open

300m long, Japan’s longest flying fox
Shooting Star: With the flying fox, you become a shooting star sliding down along a wire from the top of the hill to a canal.

The 9m off the ground flying fox is the biggest in midair athletic in Japan!
The castle in the sky: You can enjoy the midair adventure flying along 9m-off-ground wire and going along logs. Safe trip is guaranteed as experienced staff gives you instructions.

A dangerous, horror world expanding through the monitor of a tablet computer

Survivor from the ZOMBIE lab: Holding a tablet computer in your hand, you examine a dark laboratory that has been invaded by zombies. In this walk-through facility, you will experience a unique combination of a new digital stage effect, provided by the state of the art AR technology, and physical stimulations. Don’t miss it!
