Hours of Operation

Question 1:Does Huis Ten Bosch have regular closures?
Huis Ten Bosch is open all year round. However, hours of operation do change during the year, so please make sure to confirm hours before leaving. Please be aware that restaurant, shop, amusement facility, museum, and hotel hours of operation differ from Huis Ten Bosch’s hours. Also, please know that some places in the resort do close or have regular closures.
Question 2:What time does the parking lot open?
The entrance to the parking lot is open from 7:30 until Huis Ten Bosch closes, excluding Golden Week, the Bon Festival, and the New Year’s holidays.
Question 3:What time does the parking lot close?
The parking lot closes at 23:00.

Passports

Question 4:Can credit cards be used to purchase passports?
The following credit cards can be used to purchase passports.
Question 5:Where should I purchase a passport when coming to Huis Ten Bosch by high speed ferry?
There is a ticket counter located at the Marine Terminal where the ferries arrive Huis Ten Bosch. Please purchase a passport after getting off the high speed ferry. Please be aware that visitors arriving by high speed ferry are required to purchase a passport.
Question 6:Can I exit and then re-enter the resort on the same day?
Re-entry is possible during hours of operation on the same day at no charge. Please let a staff member at the entrance know when exiting.

About Huis Ten Bosch

Question 7:What does Huis Ten Bosch mean?
In Dutch, Huis Ten Bosch means, “house in the woods.” Huis means house, bosch means woods, and ten is a preposition. Huis Ten Bosch was named after receiving special permission from the Dutch royal family to reproduce the palace of Her Majesty, the Queen of The Netherlands called Palace Huis Ten Bosch.
Question 8:I would like to know more about the concept of Huis Ten Bosch.
During the 5 years it took to develop this city, we were constantly learning from the 400-year old Dutch approach to environmental preservation. When we came up with the concept of the new community of Huis Ten Bosch-a resort in harmony with nature, we established environmental preservation and development as a top priority. Huis Ten Bosch continues to look forward to becoming a 21st century city of the future where humans and nature co-exist.
Question 9:How big is Huis Ten Bosch?
Huis Ten Bosch is 152 Hectares or 1,520,000㎡ in size. More specifically, it is the same size as Monaco.

Question 10:Can credit cards be used at restaurants and shops?
The following credit cards can be used.
Question 11:Which amusement sites have foreign language support available?
English language support is available at Mysterious Escher, Grand Odyssey, Horizon Adventure, IFX Theater Kirara, Komdatzien-Komdatzien Museum, Great Voyage Theater
(With the exception of Grand Odyssey you will need to purchase multilingual earphones. 200 yen each incl. tax)
You can purchase multilingual earphones at the entrance, and each of the above facilities.

Restricted Items

Question 12:Are there any restrictions on bringing items into Huis Ten Bosch?
Visitors are not allowed to bring food or beverages, including alcohol, into the park. Please use the Picnic Area located near the entrance.
Pets are also not allowed in the park but may be left at the Pet Room at the entrance.
No radios, dangerous objects or objects that may inconvenience other guests, vehicles (including bicycles) are allowed in the park. Visitor’s bags may be inspected.
