Creature picture book

Hiding in the lower right

It was really big

You may be able to see it if the timing is right

As I was walking along the rose canal under the clear breeze, I found aquatic plants floating on the surface of the water. If you look casually, something that moves under the aquatic plants!
When I was wondering, "Is the aquatic plant shaking?", What a small little fish is hiding.

The Huis Ten Bosch has a total length of 6 km. The water in Omura Bay is regularly replaced by the ebb and flow of the tide and the opening and closing of the floodgates. Many creatures live in the canal, probably because fresh seawater constantly flows in. (Fugu, mullet, black sea bream, octopus, oyster, turban shell, etc.)
There are so many fish that you can easily find them even if you walk, not if you do not find them.

What kind of fish is hiding in this aquatic plant?
The body has spots and stripes. The color is a mixture of brown and black. However, this one is the one I took because it disappeared soon. I looked it up based on this photo, but I didn't understand it after all.
But the fish in the small photo on the left was immediately apparent. This is Chinu. Although it is visual, I think it was 30 cm.

The canal is like a "creature picture book" where you can see various creatures up close, with not only fish but also wild birds coming for it.
It may be interesting to take a picture, go home, and learn about living things while immersing yourself in memories with a real picture book in one hand.

Digression
Swan chicks born last month can also be seen on this canal. If the timing is right, you may meet the chicks that follow the parent bird ♪
