Ludute is also famous for being obsessed with the charm of rose flowers, and his work, which combines botanical accuracy and artistry, with multicolored stippling copperplate prints like a divine work, is a "portrait of a rose". Many of the roses drawn by Rudute, praised as "Raffaello of Flowers" and "Rembrandt of Roses," are already extinct, but in the Foley of Rudute in the Art Garden in Huis Ten Bosch, the roses he drew. You can actually see the rare and precious rose varieties that still exist.
