The connection with Miffy was born in 1987 when Dick Bruna, the creator of Miffy, visited Nagasaki Holland Village, the predecessor of Huis Huis Ten Bosch.
Later, the original Miffy was created, wearing a red scarf, yellow wooden shoes and holding the Dutch flag, and has since become an indispensable part of Huis Ten Bosch.
